rem. to Salisbury, there had Joseph, b. 10 Mar. 1670; and in 1674 admin.
on his est. was commit. to his wid. Mary, wh. m. 24 Aug. in that yr.
John Allen, as under his name may be seen. JEREMIAH, Bedford 1697,
was s. prob. of Francis of Fairfield. JOHN, Kittery or Saco 1640. JOHN,
Lynn 1650, may be he wh. was a baker, and d. at Ipswich 13 Mar. 1662,
and his w. Sarah d. 29 Apr. 1666. JOHN, Farmington, one of the first
sett. freem. 1658, by w. Mary had Mary, b. 15 Apr. 1643; John, 12 Aug.
1645; Hannah, 26 Feb. 1647, all bapt. 16 May 1658; Abraham, 31 Oct.
1648; Daniel, 1650; Joseph, 26 May 1651; there three bapt. 2 Apr. 1654;
Rachel, bapt. 9 Apr. 1654; but why all were not bapt. at once, may be
left to plausible conject. Stephen, b. 1606; and Benjamin, June 1659;
and d. 1682. His wid d. Mary 1694.Of the ch. my knowl. is less
complete; John, eldest s. was prob. of Hartford, and had John,
Joseph, Stephen, and others, yet m. or b. dates are blank; Mary m. as sec.
w. Thomas Barnes; Hannah m. Richards, prob. Obadiah; and Rachel m. a
Buck. JOHN, Ipswich 1642, had w. Jane, was oppress. imprison. by Andros'
admin. liv. in 1701. He was then 80 yrs. old, and his w. if alive,
was one yr. younger. JOHN, Boston, a cooper, by w. Lucy, wh. d. 1 Sept.
1653, had no ch. kn. to me, but by w. Hannah had John, b. 21 Nov. 1656, prob.
d. young; Hannah, in town rec. call. Susanna, b. 12 Aug. 1659; Mary, and Martha,
these three, bapt. 2 June 1661; James, 1, bapt. 4 Dec. 1664; and James, again,
bapt. 24 Mar. 1667. JOHN, Kittery, wh. d. 1671, left s. John, and a wid. Joan,
wh. prob. bec. w. of Benjamin Atwell. JOHN, Hartford, s. of William of the
same, had, by w. Mary, at the time of his d. 8 June 1690, only two liv.
ch. Samuel, 20 yrs. old; and Mary, 8. JOHN, Fairfield 1670, s. of
Francis of the same, d. 1683, leav. two ch. JOHN, Ipswich, by w. Judith
had Elizabeth b. 7 Mar. 1685, was 36 yrs. old in 1684. JOHN, Hingham, wh.
m. Patience Nichols in Sept. 1685, as in Geneal. Reg. Il. 253, correct.
by Errata in the introduct. is there call. s. of Capt. Thomas, but when it
is said, that he was b. 1658, I fear it is only drawing a bow at a venture,
for if b. that yr. it might seem as if he should be count. br. not s. of the
Capt. since the other count. makes him gr.-gr.s. of the first Thomas of the
same. * JOSEPH, Hingham 1635, s. of Thomas the first, b. in Eng. freem.
3 Mar. 1636, was the first town clk. constable, rep. 1636-8, had rem.
to Duxbury soon after, but Joseph, Elizabeth bapt. Mar. 1638; Ephraim,
18, not as once said 8, Oct. 1640; and Thomas may have been b. bef.
such rem. as only ch. at D. nam. is Abigail, 1647, wh. m. July 1667,
John Wadsworth; at D. he was a town officer 1654, and constable 1664,
