    CHAMPNEY, DANIEL, Cambridge, s. of Richard, m. 3 Jan. 1666,
Dorcas, d. of Thomas Bridge, had Dorcas, b. 22 Aug. 1667; Daniel, 14
Dec. 1669; Thomas, 12 Sept. 1673; Noah, 27 Sept. 1677; Downing,
31 May 1680; and Abigail, 26 Apr. 1683. His w. d. 7 Feb. 1684,
and he m. 4 June foll. Hepzibah, d. of famous sch.master Corlet, then
wid. of James Minot, had Hepzibah, 28 June 1687; but bef. this he was
of Billerica sev. yrs. freem. 1677; and d. 19 Nov. 1691. JOHN, Cambridge
1635, d. early, leav. wid. Joan, by wh. he had Mary, Sarah, John,
and Joseph,[1] but whether all, or wh. of them were b. in Eng. is unkn.
His wid. m. Golden Moore. The s. John d. 20 Feb. 1665; and Mary
m. 2 May 1654, Theophilus Richardson of Woburn. JOSEPH, Cambridge,
freem. 1654, rem. to Billerica, and d. May 1656. His w. was
Sarah. MAURICE, or MORRIS, Marblehead, sw. in 1721, then aged
79, that fifty yrs. bef. Richard Fullford had liv. at Muscongus.
RICHARD, Cambridge, br. perhaps of John, came in the Defence
1635, prob. with w. Jane and ch. Esther; six yrs. old, in comp.
with Rev. Thomas Shepard, as was in C. believ. but none of this name
is that yr. found at the London custom ho. Perhaps he was forbid. to
emb. as a subsidy man, yet unwill. to sw. false. and unable to obtain leave
without. He bec. freem. 25 May 1636, was a rul. elder, own. est. at
Billerica, then belong. to C. had, perhaps, Mary, for the rec. is bad, b. tw.
with Samuel, Sept. 1635; Sarah, May 1638; Mary, again, Nov. 1639;
John, 28 May 1641; Lydia; and Daniel, 9 Mar. 1645; and d. 26 Nov.
1669. His will of 30 June preced. names w. two s. and four ds. and gives
40 acres near the falls on Charles riv. to Harv. Coll. Esther m. 26
Mar 1654, Josiah Converse of Woburn; Sarah m. 19 Aug. 1636, William
Barrett, and d. 21 Aug. 1661; but John Poole of Reading, in his
will of 14 Feb. 1667, calls W. B. his s.-in-law, and speaks of his d.
Sarah, as dec. w. of B. wh. seems to me inexplica.; Lydia m. 20 May
1668, John Hastings, as sec. w. and d. 23 Jan. 1691; and Mary m. 26
Sept. 1665; Richard, Jacob French, and d. 1 Apr. 1681. SAMUEL, Cambridge,
eldest s. of the preced. m. at Billerica, 13 Oct. 1657, Sarah, d. of James
Hubbard
, had Samuel, b. 8 Dec. 1658, d. soon; Sarah, 17 Feb. 1660;
Mary, 12 May 1662; Esther, 14 May 1664, d. under 3 yrs.; Samuel,
again, 9 Mar. 1667; these all at B. but after rem. to C. had Joseph, 1
Sept. 1669; Richard, 20 Aug. 1674; and Daniel. He was rep. for C.
1686, the last yr. of the old chart. again in 1689 after, overthrow of
Andros, and in 1692 under new chart. In this yr. he m. Ruth, d. of
Edward Michelson, wid. of John Green.

    CHANDLER, BENJAMIN, Scituate, s. of Edmund, m. Elizabeth d. of John
Buck, had Benjamin, b. 1672; Martha, 1673; Samuel, 30 Nov. 1674;
John, 1675 or 6; and Mary, 1678. EDMUND, Duxbury 1633, had
Benjamin, Samuel, Joseph, and ds. Sarah, Ann, Mary, and Ruth, of
none of wh. is the date of b. kn. He was at Scituate 1650, but d. 1662
