m. 1697, Elizabeth eldest d. of Robert Avery of the same, had William, b.
1698; Elizabeth 1699; Jemima, 1702; Ann, 1705; and Isaac, 1709; and d.
1746. Of this name, that sometimes in old rec. appears Bulward,
five had been gr. in 1834 at Harv. two at Yale, one at Dart. and five at
other N. E. coll.

    BULLEN, ELISHA, Medfield and Sherborn, s. of Samuel, m. 31 May
1683, Hannah Metcalf, prob. d. of John of M. had Elisha, b. 14 Aug.
1684; Samuel, 24 Nov. 1687; Jonathan, 13 Jan. 1695, d. in few days;
Hannah, 28 June 1697; and Miriam, 23 Aug. 1702. EPHRIAM, Sherborn,
br. of the preced. had both been of Medfield 1678, by w. Grace
had Mary, Ephriam, John, and Grace; but Morse, in his Geneal. p. 20,
makes all the four b. after d. of his w. JOHN, Medfield 1649. JOHN,
Medfield, s. of Samuel, m. 3 Jan. 1684, Judith Fisher, had Judith, b. 23
Oct. 1689; John, 31 Jan. 1692; David, 14 Jan. 1694; Michael, 2 Apr.
1696; Mary, 26 Feb. 1699; Silence, 21 May 1701, d. soon; and Samuel,
20 Aug. 1702. JOSEPH, Medfield, s. of Samuel, m. 15 Mar. 1675,
Abigail Sabin, was freem. 1677, prob. d. without issue, for in his will of
28 Dec. 1703, he names none, but fiv. est. to sev. nephs. and nieces, and
makes w. Abigail extrix. SAMUEL, Dedham, freem. 2 June 1641, m.
10 Aug. 1641, Mary d. of Samuel Morse, had Mary, b. 20 July 1642;
Samuel, 19 Dec. 1644; Elizabeth 3 Feb. 1647; Joseph, 6 Sept. 1651;
Ephraim, 18 July 1653; Meletiah, 15 Sept. 1655; Elisha, 26 Dec.
1657; Eleazer, 26 Apr. 1662, d. in few days; Bethia, 1 Aug. 1664;
and John, perhaps bef. the last two. He was a deac. and d. 16 Jan. 1692;
and his wid. d. 14 Feb. foll. In hist. of Framingham, Barry, giv. the
distrib. of est. 1697, shows, that Mary m. a Clark; Elizabeth m. a Wheelock,
but was then d. leav. childr.; Meletiah, m. a Fisher, and was d. leav.
childr.; and Bethia m. a Colburn; that Ephriam was d. leav. childr.
and that Samuel, Joseph, Elisha, and John, as well as Mary and Bethia
were liv.

    BULLIER, JULIAN, Saybrook, m. 15 Jan. 1666, Elizabeth Brooks. He d.
14 Jan. 1678, and his wid. m. 28 Apr. foll. James Fitzgerald.

    BULLIS, PHILIP, Boston, mariner, m. 3 Dec. 1663, Judith, d. of
John Hart, wid. of Robert Ratchell, had Elizabeth b. 19 Nov. 1664; John, 8
Jan. 1669; Thomas, 3 Aug. 1671; and Rachel, 28 Sept. 1673; serv. in
Gilliam's comp. 1676, on Conn. riv. and next yr. was at B.

    BULLIVANT, BENJAMIN, Boston, 1685, a physician from London, made
atty.-gen. as being of noble fam. acc. John Dunton, wh. kn., him in L.
act. under Andros, and on the outburst, Apr. 1689, was for his office
imprison. yet did not after rem. I suppose he had brot. w. from Eng.
