May 1746, by w. Ruth, wh. d. 22 June 1738, was b. Edward, whose s.
Benjamin was f. of Hon. Edward, H. C. 1779, wh. was f. of the late Edward
D., the dilig. and faithful Secr. of Mass. JOSHUA, Eastham, youngest
s. of Edward the first, m. 1 Dec. 1669, Hannah, d. of John Scudder; had
Joshua, wh. d. young; was lieut. and d. 14 Jan. 1710. In his will of 13
Feb. 1707, nam. not nor refer. to any issue, he ment. w. Hannah, wh.
next m. Moses Hatch.

    BANKS, GEORGE, New Haven 1646. * JOHN, Windsor, one of the first
sett. m. a d. of Charles Taintor of Wethersfield, as tradit. tells, had one
ch. b. there, where he was town clk. 1643, rem. soon after to Fairfield, of
wh. he was rep. sev. yrs. betw. 1651 and 66, rem. to Rye, and was rep.
from that town 1670-3; had good est. made his will 12 Dec. 1684, and
d. next mo. He ment. in it w. Mary (not, prob. his first), s. John, Samuel,
Obadiah, and Benjamin; ds. Susanna Sturges, Hannah, w. of Daniel
Burt; and Mary Taylor. His s. Joseph had d. Oct. 1682, perhaps unm.
as he gave est. to four brs. and sis. Mary Taylor; of Samuel nothing, is kn.
but Obadiah d. we are told, in Fairfield Feb. 1691, and Benjamin next
yr. and both at F. and Greenwich, adjac. to Rye, the name contin. 1713.
JOHN, Greenwich, s. of the preced. had w. Abigail, and d. 14 July 1699.
JOSEPH, wh. embark. 12 Mar. 1679 for N. E. by the William and Susan,
was only trans. visit. as is presum. from never being heard of on this side
of the water. RICHARD, Kittery, 1649, was liv. at York 1673, had m.
Elizabeth d. of John Alcock, for she had sh. of his est. He took o. of alleg.
to the k. 22 Mar. 1681. RICHARD, Boston, one of the found. of the first
society for Episcop. worship 1686. Four of this name by Farmer are
found gr. at Yale 1834.

    BANISTER, or BANNISTER, CHRISTOPHER, Marlborough 1657, m. Jane,
d. of Thomas Goodenow, had Mary, b. 1672; and he d. 30 Mar. 1678. EDWARD,
New Haven 1639, had w. Ellen, and a d. Mary, wh. m. Benjamin Bowden; made
his will 8 May 1649. See N. H. Col. Rec. I. 479. JOHN, Marlborough, m. 1695,
Ruth Eager, whose deriv. I kn. not, having not met the name so early in N. E.
had John, b. 1696; Ruth, 1699, d. soon; Mary, 1700; Ruth, again, 1702;
Jane, 1705, Huldah, 1707; Martha, 1710; and Sarah, 1713; was a lieut.
and d. 19 July 1730, aged 59. NATHAN, Charlestown, by w. Mary had
Nathan, wh. d. 29 Mar. 1669, prob. young; and Mary, b. 24 Jan. foll.
THOMAS, Boston 1685, by w. Sarah had Samuel, b. 11 July 1686; Hannah,
30 Sept. 1688, d. soon; Mary, 10 July 1690; and Hannah, again, 19 Mar. 1692;
and d. 1709. He had come to B. with fam. and good sh. of prop. as from his will
of 25 Jan. with codic. of 13 July, pro. 20 Aug. foll. in that yr. is appar. It provides
for w. Sarah, d. Mary, s. Thomas, H. C. 1700, Samuel, and John, and
gives to his gr.ch. Thomas, eldest s. of his s. Thomas, £500, besides
