[edit] 1810A separate search for Israel in New York gave no hits. [edit] 1820No hits in New York for Israel Rogers [edit] 1830
[edit] 1840A search of the 1840 Census New York shows numerous ROger's in Suffolk COunty, but no Israel. There is a Rebecca Rogers HOH, but she is too young to be the wife of Israel. A similar search for Queens County yielded neither an Israel nor a Rebecca Rogers. [edit] CommentIsrael Rogers appears in the US Census records, as shown on Ancestry, in only the 1800 and 1830 census. In both cases he appears as HOH in North Hemstead, QUeens, Long Island. It is possible that he may have living elsewhere in 1810, and 1820. If so, he does not appear anywhere else in New York State. It is also possible, and may perhaps be more likely, that he was living in North Hempstead, perhaps in someone else's household, and therefor not identified as a HOH. It is also possible that he was simply missed. |
