Template:NobleHouse/doc

This template is used on a Person page to explicitly indicate that a person was a member of a recognized royal or noble house.

Usage

Place the following on the Person page.

{{NobleHouse|HouseName}}

where HouseName is the name fragment of a category page with a title of the form "Category:House of HouseName".

Suggested Placement

This template can be placed in the "Description" field of a fact or in the "Narrative" section. If placing it in a fact, it is recommended that it has its own fact (of type "Other", with no date or place) - otherwise, it can be hard to spot amongst place names, which are also formatted as links.

Example

{{NobleHouse|Plantagenet}}

will appear as:

House of Plantagenet

linking to the page "Category:House of Plantagenet" (which will include the Person page).
