[add comment] [edit] Why William Houston Walker doesn't match DNA [27 November 2017]William A Walker is the son of John and Sallie (McConnell) Walker, grandson of James Magill Walker, et al. He is listed in the Knox County 1910 census as married to Malissia ( LDS records list Millicent Dupes as his wife and since that census has an abundance of mispellings it seems likely that the taker spelled Millecent phonetically and poorly). William Houston Walker, married to Mary Beck, was probably the son of John Walker, aka, Indian Killer, which is a different DNA group. The two groups lived as neighbors and loose kin in Blount Co, TN. The group 8 DNA Walkers moved to McMinn Co, TN. Group 27 commonly remained in Blount Co TN--Sarah McDonnell 16:44, 27 November 2017 (UTC) |
