Hello Jesse. You may have this info but thought I would reply to your post. William Wellington Bond and his family were in Scott County, VA by 1810. Proof of this is recorded in the COPPER CREEK CHURCH minutes, dated 16 Sept. 1810 where William and Margaret were accepted by letter to the Church. It is possible that the family was living in Frederick County when the census was taken but moved soon afterwards. William and Margaret were living in Amherst County when married in 1793. They were on the move soon after their marriage. Your comment please. Bill William Wellington Bond 1776 not in Amherst VA Posted by: Jesse Bond (ID *****2480) Date: April 06, 2004 at 19:26:14 of 4088 To whoever may view this. I have done some research on William and came up with a Census record where a William Bond showed up living next door to a David Davis in the 1810 Fredrick Co Va Census. I'm not 100% sure this is William Wellington, but he was married to Margaret Davis who's father was David Davis. This might be why no one can find William. We may be looking in the wrong place. All we know is that he was married http://genforum.genealogy.com/cgi-bin/pageload.cgi?William,Wellington,Amherst::bond::3134.html I am a descendant of William Wellington Bond born about 1776 somewhere in Virginia. In 1793, Amherst County, VA, he married Margaret Davis. The family was in Russell County, VA (now Scott County) soon after 1800. Have never been able to find his parents. The book is titled "WILLIAM LAWSON, A SCOTTISH REBEL" and has some sketches on other families including this Bond family. There may be a connection to your line prior to William Wellington? Do you have him in your collection of Bonds? Thank you. Bill A William Bond born 1779 in Amherst co http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/s/a/l/James-M-Salyer/index.html The person I am really intersted in finding information on is William Wellington Bond. He married Margret Davis in Amherst County Virginia in 1793. They then show up in Scott County Virginia where William was ordained a deacon at the Cooper Creek Regular Baptist Church on April 16, 1814.
