Talk:Analysis. DOB for William Willis (55)

Rachel

At some point William had a date of birth listed by his name as born in the 1790's. That has been changed but If you scroll down William's page, you will see that it says something about him being born in the 1790's. If that was true, he could not have been McKinzies father. Also, It was RACHEL he signed for to marry Christopher Durbin, not RUTH. If I somehow entered the name Ruth when I submitted info, then I misnamed her but I don't believe I did. Where is the info coming from that Rachel was the eldest daughter? For all I know Rachel could have been the youngest daughter. Basing William's birthdate on Rachels est. birthdate is no more reliable than guessing his birthdate was 1760. The est. birthdate of William of 1760ish was based on the fact that he had a military warrant for land in 1780. If he joined the service when he was eighteen, he would been born 1760-62 to get a warrant in 1780. Maybe William had a son named William and dates are getting confused. Hopefully, we can find more info on William that would help us establish a better guess for his age.ruthnevada 23:38, 23 April 2011 (EDT)

Hi T., There are a couple of things going on here. Mostly things that are my fault, but by way of explanation, at the moment I can only get scattered bits of time to work on this, or any other problem, so there are disconnects---such as "Ruth vs Rachel". There's also a time lag between finding problems like this, and getting them fixed where-ever they occur. Please feel free, as you discover new information, or misunderstandings of old information, to make any changes you feel needful. Q 09:17, 24 April 2011 (EDT)
