Stephens Family

part of the Covington Family research

The family of Balaam Stephens remains a mystery. I believe the Stephens came with the Anthony family to Cherokee Co. AL sometime in the 1830s. This is just a place for notes about them and anyone else I suspect they connect to.

I have wondered if there is a previous tie between Balaam or his wife to the Covingtons or Traylors or Burnetts as they no sooner arrive in Cherokee Co. but the children of John and Lucilla Covington begin marrying Balaams offspring.
