They had four children born in England. He purchased land at Duxbury, Massachusetts, in 1634, and his family joined him in America in 1635. They family moved to Bridgewater, Massachusetts, before 1665. He died there between 1666-1670. His great grandson, Ebenezer Washburn (1690-1768), son of Joseh and Hannah Latham Washburn, married Patience Miles of New Milford, Connecticut, in 1721. They had fourteen children, 1722-1750.
