In the name of god amen. I Jacob HOUSHAL of Amwell in the County of Hunterdon and province of New Jersey being in perfect mind and memory thanks be giving unto god therefore cawling to mind that all men is once to die do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form that is to say prinsiplly I command my soul into the hands of Amighty God who gave it to me and my body to the Earth from whence it came to be buried in a Christian and decent manner at the Discretion of my Executors hereafter named in hopes of joyfull Resurection through the merits of my Dear Redeemer Jesus Christ and as for such worldly state as it has pleased god to bless me with I dispose thereof as follows: first I will that all my just debts and funeral charges be fully paid.

Item I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved son Mathias HOUSHAL one half of the plantation I now dwell on that is to say he is not to have that part where on the buildings stand but the other part to him or his heirs and assigns forever and to have the sum of ten pounds procklamation money to be paid him three years after my deceas by my soninlaw Jacob CASE.

Item I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved son Peter HOUSHAL one half of that plantation as I purchased of Daniel CARRIOLL that is to say the part whereon the buildings now stand with all the appertenances thereunto belonging unto him, his heirs and assigns for eternity. Son Peter paying never the less on the above estate to his Sister Marey the sum of fifty pounds proklemation money to be paid to her when she arives to the age of eighteen years. But if said my daughter should depart this life before she arives to the above age then I order her part to be equally divided between her surviving brothers and sisters. Likewise, its my will and order that my son Mathias pays forth unto the above estate granted to him unto his siter Marey the sum of one hundred pounds prock money to be paid her when she arives at the age of eighteen years.

Item I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved son Martin HOUSHAL the remaining part of my plantation whereon I now dwell and not heretofor devised with all the buildings and orchard and appurtenances theirunto belonging to him his heirs and assigns for ever. My son Martin paying never the less and it is my will and order that he pays for the out of the above estate to his sister Marey the sum of one hundred pound prock money when she arives to the age of tweny years and to pay to his brother Mathias the sum of eighty pounds procklemation money five years after my decease and to grant him the privelidge of the orchards to get as many apples out of it as he requires for his own hous use for the term of ten years - farther I will my son Martin the sum of twenty pounds Prock money to be paid to him out of my monebel estate by my Executors hereafter named four years after my decease but if my son Martin should depart this life before he arrives to the age of twenty one years then it is my will and order that the shear and part belonging to him shall be equally divided between his serviving brothers and sisters.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my son in law Jacob CASE the other part of that plantation purchased of Daniel CARROLL but if my said daughter should die without aney Johue of her own bore by her ?????, then I will the land be sold and the money arising to be equalley divided between my children shear and shear alike excepting their out the sum of fifty pounds proklemation money to be giving to his own proper use but to resine up the land to my executors three years after her deseas my son in law pay their out never the less to my daughter Marey the sum of fifty pounds prock money when she arrives to the age of eighteen years. I will that all my rest of my personal estate not heretofore decused be sold in order to pay my debts within six months after my desease. Lastly of all I nominate and appoint my Brother Mattias HOUSHAL and Peter LLEFFLER to be hole and sole executors to this my last will and testament. In witness whereof the said Jacob HOUSHALL hath to this my last will and testament containing two pages set my hand and seal this fifth day of March one thousand seven hundred sixty one.

John RAKE and John RINGO Two of the witnesses to the anneo will being sworn on the Holy Evangelists of almighty god did severally deposs that they saw Jacob HOUSHALL the Testator herein named Sign & Seal the same and heard him publish pronounce & deliver the anneded instrument to be his last will and testamnet and that at the doing thereof the said testator was of sound & disposing mind & memory as far as these deposers know and as they verally believe and that Willm BELLOFIELD - the other subscribing witness present at the same time and signed by his name as a Witness to that will in the presence of the said testator & in the presnence of both of them.
