(4 Mar 1904) MAN FOUND DEAD At Joplin, Mo. May Be Piqua’s • Authorities Make Inquiry: A telegram was received by the Leader-Dispatch this morning from Joplin, Missouri, announcing that E. B. Greene was found dead in that city Monday. On his person was a letter mailed at Piqua February 5th, evidently written by a daughter. The message requests information concerning Green and requests Piqua relatives to communicate with the Joplin coroner. Diligent inquiry among people of the same name in Piqua has so far failed to identify any one who has a relative by the name given. The name E. B. Green does not appear in the city directory. It is thought possible that the daughter referred to as posting a letter here on February 5th may be married. The correspondent neglects to give the name signed to the letter found on the dead man’s person. The Leader-Dispatch will be glad to receive any further information in regard to the matter. |
