William Hammond was born in Lavenham, Suffolk, England, where he was baptized 30 October 1575. He married Elizabeth Paine 9 June 1605. The will of William Hammond is on file at East Cambridge, Massachusetts, dated 1 July 1662; proved 16 December 1672.
