[edit] Usage TipsThese are the parish registers for Dypvåg and Flosta parishes, which were split from Holt clerical district in 1812 to become the Dypvåg clerical district. They include records for the state religion (Lutheran) but also for "dissenters". Many of these registers were microfilmed for the FHL library, and later digitized and made available online through the Norwegian Digital Archives (Digitalarkivet). The Digital Archives make available newer registers that were not part of the Family History Library microfilms. Prior to 1813, Dypvåg and Flosta were part of Holt clerical district, and during some of these years, their records were not kept in separate registers from those of other parishes in the district. Therefore, for events during these years, it may be necessary to check the Holt registers, which are covered by source: The Family History Library Catalogue includes the statement: "See Sønneløv clerical district for some church records for the years 1801-1815." This source is: Note that Digitalarkivet includes searchable transcribed records for some of the registers - the transcription appears to be ongoing. The search has limited flexibility and does not appear to support soundex at this time. [edit] FHL film numbersThese may be ordered through the nearest Family History Center.
