Background
Cowan Clan United was a quarterly newsletter privately published from 1969 to 1977. It contains a wealth of information about the various lines of Cowans. The newsletter ceased publication in 1977, apparently because of financial issues.
From: CowanClanUnited.com
- Back in 1969 a small newsletter was started by a handful of people. These individuals had an interest in sharing information regarding the surname Cowan and all of its various spellings....
- The newsletter ran for 8 years. During that time a wealth of information was disseminated. The problem was that the newsletter was quarterly so the information came in spurts every 3 months. Add to that the cost of mail and the time of correspondence back and forth.
