Scott Schaefer Overview

I enjoy reading and contributing to Wikipedia and visit often as a technical reference. In 2009 I married Rhonda Schaefer, and shortly thereafter began researching our genealogy. Because of my familiarity with Wikipedia, I became motivated to create our own community wiki, which launched as an adjunct to our family of websites and blogs in October 2010. We started the LexingtonWiki as a documentation repository supportive of our professional websites, but also as a means of cataloging and documenting the enormous research materials my wife Rhonda began unearthing in our family tree research. Upon finding We Relate, we were immediately drawn to working with the platform, as it is the same MediaWiki platform upon which our wiki is built. Perhaps I will someday understand how to better integrate the two wikis. My User Page can be contacted for any reason, as can my Wikipedia User Page.

Scott Schaefer Overview as an Author

Out of necessity, I began web authoring by creating a website for a company I founded, Lexington Luxury Builders, in 2008, having had no prior authoring or web development experience. Finding I enjoyed creating the website and writing, in general, I created two blogs the Dallas Urban Blog focused on the subject of urban real estate development, followed up by Lexington Urban Blog which focused more on new urbanism and my new urban real estate development activities. I have since started and become the primary author and publisher of three additional websites and six blogs, the latter becoming increasingly focused on politics.
