The US GenWeb Project provides an umbrella framework that supports local online genealogical resources across all 50 states of the United States. The Project was established in 1996 as an effort focused on Kentucky. It now (as of Dec 2021) spans a network of 3,000 websites, all supported by volunteer contributors. All content is freely available without the need to register or provide any login information.
