Passendale or Passchendale [4 July 2013]

I know that Passchendale is harder to spell, but that's the way I just found it on an image of a "Circumstances of Casualty" notice, and the way I usually see it in lists of battles of World War 1.

Having lived in the Flemish part of Belgium for 3 years, I got used to Belgian road signs. We would have seen Passchendale, Ost-Vlaanderen. --Goldenoldie 11:43, 4 July 2013 (EDT)
