I'm a bit confused about Bentree. All the information I found on the net, maps, Google Earth, town and county information, etc, has Bentree located in Clay county. It's located on State Road 16 on the way to Lizemores, clearly in the county of Clay. Yet, all the Altases and Gazetteers and even a 1933 atlas on the West Virginia Archives and History Library site has it located in Nicholas county. There doesn't appear to be two Bentrees in WV and county formation doesn't seem to be the issue here. Hmmm.... --Ronni 04:33, 28 April 2007 (MDT)

Update: Bentree is right on the Nicholas/Clay county border with part of the town apparently being in both counties. --Ronni 15:39, 11 January 2009 (EST)
