Whitwell is a hamlet and civil parish in the Hambleton District of North Yorkshire, England. It is 6.5 miles (10.5 km) north west of the county town of Northallerton.

Whitwell consists of little more than a few houses and a farm. The nearest notable settlements are Scorton and North Cowton.

Historically, Whitwell was in the ecclesiastical parish of Catterick in the wapentake of Hang East. From 1894 until 1974, Whitwell was located in Northallerton Rural District and in the Northallerton Registration District.
