West Greenwood is a (barely) an inhabited hill-top place within the Town of Greenwood where Ridge and Slaght Roads intersect. New York State Route 417 also passes through this same intersection. The West Greenwood Grange hall is the only historical structure that remains of what once was a small hamlet.
