A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Walridge from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
- "WALRIDGE, a township in Stamfordham parish, Northumberland; 11 miles NE of Hexham. Acres: 191. Population: 4. House: 1."
Walridge was a township in the ancient parish of Stamfordham and became a separate civil parish in 1866. In 1955 the civil parish was abolished and the area was absorbed back into the parish of Stamfordham.
Now visible on Google Earth as "Wallridge Farmhouse, Ingoe" at the western end of a row of houses on the road leading east to Ingoe.
