Union Township is one of the five smaller divisions of Randolph Township. Union Township, Miami County, formed in 1807, is one of the earliest townships in the county. It is bounded on the North by Newton Township, on the South by Montgomery County, on the East by Concord and Monroe Townships and on the West by Monroe Township in Darke County. It is crossed by both the Stillwater River and Ludlow Creek upon which Ludlow Falls is located. The villages of West Milton, Ludlow Falls, Potsdam and Laura are located within the township.
