Tyersall was a village partly absorbed into the City of Bradford in 1882. The remainder became part of Pudsey Urban District.
GENUKI states that Tyersall was in the township of Pudsey and the ecclesiastical parish of Calverley and was located 2-1/2 miles from the centre of Bradford.
