Twedt (Danish: Tved) is a municipality in the district of Schleswig-Flensburg, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is located about 36 kilometers [22 miles] southeast of Flensburg. Twedt is located about eleven kilometers northeast of Schleswig on the Loiter Au, which flows into the Schlei. The federal highway 201 from Schleswig to Kappeln leads through the municipality. The community Twedt was formed on 1 August 1970 by merging the communities Grumby and Buschau. This community is predominantly agricultural.
