The townland of Ticroghan in County Meath is in the Barony of Upper Moyfenrath; the Civil Parish of Clonard; and the Poor Law Union of Edenderry.

It was the site of the Battle of Tecroghan in 1650

[Burke's] Irish Family Records (page 45 under Dudley Bagenal) lists the site as "Ticoghran Castle" (possibly a typographical error rather than valid alternate spelling).
