Thirkleby is a hamlet in the civil parish of Kirby Grindalythe, Ryedale, North Yorkshire, England. It is located east of Malton and south of the River Derwent.

It gave its name to Roger of Thirkleby (died 1260), a judge and Chief Justice of the Common Pleas.

Thirkleby Manor Farmhouse is a grade II listed building, being an 18th-century red-brick two-storey building altered in the early and middle 19th century. The site of a medieval settlement is adjacent.

Between 1894 and 1935, Thirkleby was a civil parish in Norton Rural District. It was made a civil parish in 1866. Historically, it had been a township of the ancient parish of Kirby Grindalythe in the Buckrose Wapentake. In 1935 it was abolished as a civil parish and the area was transferred back into Kirby Grindalythe.
