Southampton Holy Rood parish registers stretch back to 1653. The parish is located at the foot of the port with the older Southampton St. Michael to the west, and Southampton St. Mary to the east. Its northern boundary is with Southampton All Saints. Southampton St. Laurence with St. John has a narrow spur down to the waterfront between Holy Rood and St. Mary.
