South Runcton is about 8 miles south of King's Lynn. Most sources combine it with its westerly neighbour, Runcton Holme, from an early date. The ecclesiastical union most likely came before that of the civil parishes which definitely occurred in 1935. The Ordnance Survey Map of Norfolk revised 1944 names the new parish South Runcton, but it is usually considered to be Runcton Holme, the name used in Wikipedia.
