Silica is an inhabited place. Silica is the intersection of Sylvania Av. and Centennial Rd. It is in Sylvania Twp. It is home to a large quarry operation, which goes back many years.
It was also the western terminal of the now defunct Toledo Angola & Western Railroad. Very few people ever lived here as it was mainly an industrial area.
