Rhonehouse is a village situated to the east of the River Dee, 2 miles (3 km) southwest of Castle Douglas. Also known as Kelton Hill, it comprises one and two-storey 19th and 20th-century houses. Kelton Hill rises to 121m (396 feet) adjacent to Threave Gardens to the northeast. Rhonehouse was located in the parish of Kelton in the former County of Kirkcudbrightshire in southwest Scotland.
