This small cemetery is located at the intersection of Highways 188 and 193 very close to where Mobile Bay spills into the Gulf of Mexico.

These people were supposed to be buried on Dauphin Island, but since there was no bridge at the time, it would have been cost prohibitive to ship the bodies and headstones,etc to "the Island". So they were buried in the Reed cemetery even though they were "Dauphin Island people."]
