Rede is a village and civil parish in the West Suffolk District of Suffolk in eastern England. It is located southeast of Chedburgh. In 1887 John Bartholomew, in his Gazetteer of the British Isles, described Rede as being "7 miles SW of Bury St. Edmonds, with 1224 acres and population of 224". In the 2011 census it population was recorded as 131.

The institutional history of Rede explains that it has always been a place of housing for agricultural workers, craftsmen and the lower class in general. It is thought that the name "Rede" originates from a mercer from London, William Rede who was granted the manor and advowson of the nearby medieval site of Beccles.

Great Wood Hill, the highest point in Suffolk, is around 1.7 km (1.1 mi) west of Rede.
