Quesada[1] is a Spanish municipality in the province of Jaén. It is located in the Alto Guadalquivir comarca and its inhabitants are called quesadenses or quesadeños. It has an area of 328.7 km² and 5483 inhabitants according to the 2016.1 standard, although its population has gradually decreased in the last half of the twentieth century (in 1950 12,224 quesadeños were registered) .

The eastern and southern parts of its municipality are part of the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park. The source of the Guadalquivir River is in its municipal district, in the Cañada de las Fuentes.
