"A location on the Solway Firth coast of Dumfries and Galloway, Port Mary lies 1¼ miles (2 km) south of Dundrennan and 5 miles (8 km) southeast of the town of Kirkcudbright. Port Mary House is a two-storey late-18th century Laird's house. Port Mary Bridge and a small settlement lie to the west. A bay, also called Port Mary, lies to the east. It is from this bay that Mary, Queen of Scots, is said to have left Scotland for the last time in 1568."

Port Mary was located in the parish of Rerrick in the former County of Kirkcudbrightshire in southwest Scotland.
