Pleasant Township contains the city of Angola, the county seat. It covers an area of 35.2 square miles (91 km2); of this, 3.2 square miles (8.3 km2) or 9.08 percent is water. Lakes in this township include Booth Lake, Buck Lake, Center Lake, Cheeseboro Lake, Crockett Lake, Crooked Lake, First Basin, Fox Lake, Johnson Lake, Lake Charles East, Lake James, Little Center Lake, Loon Lake, Lower Basin, Middle Center Lake, Mud Lake, Second Basin, Silver Lake and Third Basin.
