Cemetery notes and/or description: (per Find A Grave) Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery is a very small cemetery just to the west of the Hopewell Reformed Church. It can be accessed off Beekman Road, inside the main gate of the Hopewell Cemetery, turn to the right and the small section just along side of the Church is actually Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery. The stones date back to the 1700's when the Hopewell Dutch Reformed Church was first established. This small portion is the only part of the cemetery belonging to the church. The rest of the larger Hopewell Cemetery is a public, nondenominational cemetery and not connected with the church. However most people are confused by this and think the whole thing is the church's cemetery, and do not realize there are actually two individual cemeteries inside the gate. Pilgrim's Rest boundaries are from the Beekman Road end on the south, the church on the east, twenty feet beyond the big pine tree to the north and the first dirt drive to the west.
