Orange is a town in Schuyler County, New York, United States. The population was 1,752 at the 2000 census. The Town of Orange is in the southwestern part of the county and is east of Bath. [edit] History
The first settlements took place circa 1798. The town was formed from Town of Wayne in 1813 as the "Town of Jersey" while still part of Steuben County. The current name was adopted in 1836. Orange was increased by parts of Hornby (1842) and Bradford (1854). The town was made part of the new Schuyler County in 1854. [edit] Research Tips
