Nether Silton is a village and civil parish in the Hambleton District of North Yorkshire, England. It lies 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Northallerton, on the border of the North Yorkshire Moors national park. According to data from the UK Census the population in 2001 was 93.
A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Nether Silton from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
Prior to the nationwide municipal reorganization of 1974, Nether Silton was located in Northallerton Rural District. Historically, it was located in the ancient parish of Leake in the Allerton Wapentake. It was in the Northallerton Registration District.
