Morpeth Rural District was a rural district of the administrative county of Northumberland, England from 1894 to 1974, covering an area north of the Newcastle upon Tyne and bounded on the north by Alnwick Rural District, on the east by the North Sea, on the south by Castle Ward Rural District, and on the west by Bellingham and Rothbury Rural Districts. In 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, most of it was absorbed into the Castle Morpeth District.
