Milton is a residential suburb of North Glasgow. It lies 2½ miles (4 km) to the north of the city centre and a half-mile (1 km) southwest of Bishopbriggs.

Milton was Registration District 644-7 from 1855-1874 and Registration District 644-8 from 1874-1900.
