Meredith is a town in Delaware County, New York, United States. The population was 1,529 at the 2010 census. It is an interior town in the northern part of the county. The town was named for Samuel Meredith. [edit] History
The town was formed in 1800 from parts of the towns of Franklin and Kortright. The 2010 documentary film Windfall, about the proposed placement of a wind farm in the town, was shot in Meredith.
