Maplewell Longdale was a hamlet in the Barrow upon Soar Registration District of Leicestershire. It was a civil parish between 1866 and 1884.

A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Maplewell Longdale from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"MAPPLEWELL-LONGDALE, an extra-parochial tract in Barrow-upon-Soar [registration] district, Leicester; 2 miles S of Loughborough. Population: 12. Houses: 2."
