Loanhead, with a population of between 6,000 and 7,000, is a small town located in the parish of Lasswade in the former Scottish county of Midlothian, 5 miles (8km) southeast of Edinburgh. It owes its existence to coal and shale mining, and to the paper industry. [edit] Research TipsFor references, see the parish of Lasswade. |
