the following text is based on an article in Wikipedia

Lazenby was an extra parochial area near Danby Wiske until modern times. It became a separate civil parish in 1858, and was joined to the ancient and ecclesiastical parish of Northallerton in 1867. Lazenby now consists of a few scattered houses east of Danby Wiske.

The following description from John Bartholomew's Gazetteer of the British Isles of 1887 is provided by the website A Vision of Britain Through Time (University of Portsmouth Department of Geography).

"Lazenby, township, Northallerton par., North-Riding Yorkshire, on river Wiske, 3 miles N. of Northallerton, 829 ac., pop. 44."
