As far as i know, this used to be my ancestors place.. kind of a "gutshof".. have to find out more, e.g. where it actually was, maybe near Mohrungen. I think the story told by my grandmother was that my grand-grandfather lost the whole lot when drinking and gambling on one occasion on a visit to königsberg (or danzig?). He went off in a two-horse cach and came back by foot, with nothing but his clothes on left. He then went on to another place and from nothing he managed to start another Farm business, this time smaller and with only his closest family, which soon after became if not as big as the former krausenhof, but quite ok also. i have to check with my granny about that :-D
