Research Tips

The Stewartry of Kirkcudbright Monumental Inscriptions pre-1855, volume 5, by Alison Mitchell, published by the Scottish Genealogy Society, Edinburgh, 1996, contains transcriptions of all the gravestones which include at least one person who died before 1855. There are about 70 stones.
