Kings Norton Rural District was shortlived (1894-1898) and preceded the creation of Kings Norton Urban District which covered the same area 1898-1911. In 1911 Kings Norton and Northfield were absorbed into Birmingham in Warwickshire, but Beoley remained in Worcestershire.
