Kathua (Dogri: 𑠊𑠕𑠯𑠁, Hindi: कठुआ) is a town located in Jammu Division of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, near its border with Pakistan, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. The town is headquarters of the district and is divided into 27 wards which constitute the Kathua Municipal Council. It is situated along NH-44. The town has a bustling industrial area and an army cantonment adjoining it.[1][2]
